WHEN WILL WOMEN BE SATISFIED?

Many women have broken the “glass ceiling” in a corporate world. Most are receiving equal pay for their professional service positions. In the last presidential election a female barely lost the election to become the leader of the free world.

Women have a legal right to abort an infant on demand even when the husband or partner does not want to end the pregnancy and the infant’s existence. Females currently comprise 60 % of the college graduates in the United States, while males make up only 40% of individuals successfully completing degrees.

On the home front an increasing number of men are staying at home as house husbands while the wife is the breadwinner.  Many professional wives travel during the week as an integral part of their job description. In the corporate world,  contrary to feminist propaganda, women are being paid as well as if not better than men in the same position.

Girls are being successfully encouraged through “girl power” to be highly motivated and aggressively compete in sports and academics. This movement reprogramming the natural proclivities of females towards masculine traits has been accomplished through books, movies and cartoons depicting females as super heroes. This has altered the thinking, behavior and interests of the female subculture.

Girls can now join the Boy Scouts while the boys cannot join the Girl Scouts. Teenage females are being openly offered STEM scholarships that the boys are not eligible to receive. On college campuses girls are being rewarded with additional power in determining sexual assaults. The men are automatically presumed guilty of an accusation by a female student until he proves his innocence. On college campuses there are contracts drawn up by a dating couple as to acceptability of sexual interactions between them. The young males are at the mercy of the subjective reaction of female peers since female statements are accepted as totally true.

This empowerment of females seems to have impacted the female US Representatives in the Senate and House. Almost all the female members of congress, both republican and democrat, were united in insisting that all women should be  believed about male sexual assaults. This extreme feminist position has become adopted by the chic culture. According to this PC notion, women should be believed on face value, in other words, “women do not lie.” This is ridiculous on its face. Everyone: children, adults of each race or nationality, ethic group, or even our politicians, lies. Almost every human lies in some form or another.

The feminist momentum of automatically convicting all men solely on the word of a female without due process should cease. This is not blind justice but social justice to rectify supposed discrimination against women.

There have been many despicable, indecent, evil males throughout history. On college campuses women studies consistently teach that all men are violent, oppressive, rapists who objectify women as sex objects. On the flip side of this coin, women are honest, passive, non-aggressive victims of ruthless males. This feminist narrative has spread into the progressive culture but not into the traditional one.

Traditional Americans understand it takes two to tango. Females do lie, threaten and attack others in certain situations. Ask any divorce lawyer, psychologist, policeman or teacher if females should be believed or supported at all times.  Obviously there are females who dress provocatively, verbally and physically attack others including men and use their feminine wiles to lead men on.  This type of woman uses her feminine powers to tease, belittle and control men.

Both sexes have bad players who victimize innocent people and good players who support and protect others. Each gender is made up of human beings with both positive and negative behaviors.

The average male in the United States is much more sensitive, considerate and respectful towards female feelings than ever before. Yet the feminists continue to raise their absurd standards of what modern men’s behavior should be. It seems many females will not be satisfied until all men are treated like predators.

Females have made men more aware and altered them and their cruder behaviors. Enough is enough, men will never be perfect nor will females. Both need to look at their own imperfections and realize neither will reach perfection. This understanding creates tolerance for others. Maybe then they will distinguish between good and bad males and females judging their character not their gender.

Treating everyone fairly means that each has the opportunity for due process to occur to determine who is telling the truth. Blind justice unites people and gives everyone the satisfaction that the matter was settled properly and justly.

BEING STRAIGHT BUILT AMERICA INTO A WORLD LEADER

“Being Straight” became a pejorative term in the 1960s. It was redefined by our mass media and Hollywood as a boring, predictable person who wanted to do everything in the right manner. They were described as people who did not have a hint of charisma or creativity.

Adults who came back from the devastation of WWII wanted stability by building stable families. Children were expected to listen to parental commands and follow them like the good soldiers they needed to be. Fathers found civilian jobs in blue collar and corporate worlds. They financially sacrificed their own interest for the sake of the family’s future. Many stayed in the same business for their entire working years. They earned well-deserved bonuses and retired with a watch or plaque for their loyal years of service. They were family men.

Most of the wives were dedicated stay-at-home mothers. They had cookies and milk prepared when the children came home from school. All the meals were home cooked with the children helping out with the household chores including cooking. She was the manager of the household while the husband earned the bacon. Both were willing to sacrifice for the family by curbing their entertainment, personal purchases and other interests for the family’s betterment. They saved money instead of spending it.

Children were expected to do well in school. They received severe consequences for not obeying the school authorities. There was little second-guessing, questioning or fighting authority’s decisions. When a child persisted in rebelling against authorities in the teen years they went into the military or work force. All youngsters were well aware that by 18 years old they were expected to go out on their own with no handouts coming from their parents.

The script for growing up was crystal clear. You were supposed to be the best you could be. Teenagers were to become quality young adults by doing their duties to God, family and their own future. Anything that could embarrass the family was to be avoided at all costs. Everyone worked and did their duty as a team.

Everything on the home front was not perfect but in general the family was a strong unit. Not all people followed these standards and expectations. Some male veterans returned home psychologically and physically damaged. Many turned to alcoholism and irrational outbursts. Some women had a difficult time handing over some power to their husband after being solely in charge for so many years. Others wanted more freedom outside the house and resented being merely a housewife. Some teenagers turned away from their families and towards gang approval becoming juvenile delinquents.

The 1950s were relatively stable and productive in increasing family financial level. Divorce and out-of-wedlock births were rare. Our public schools reached highs in academic performance much above the sunken levels of today. Economic production rose rapidly and so did the middle class salary and benefits.

The cultural revolution of the 1960s totally rewrote the script of traditional standards and expectations for America. Being “straight” became a negative. “Cool” people were the ones who walked on the wild side. Hippie communes lived in the here and now. This meant when one stoned affluent member’s assets ran out everyone abandoned the commune and found another. “Sex, drugs and rock and roll” became the rally cry for the Cultural Revolution proponents. It was all about selfish, personal interests and the abandonment of the family unit.

Productivity was not part of the concerns of the movement. Cultural chaos reigned. Woodstock was the zenith of this part of the Cultural Revolution. Many of the founders of this movement, Abbe Hoffman, Jerry Rubin, and others wormed their way into the establishment becoming bankers, lawyers, actors, politicians, media personalities, professors and many other professions.

These self-proclaimed geniuses have finally turned the culture upside down.

Straight traditionalists have become evil and worthless. Perverted behavior became chic. Che Guevara, Charles Manson, Bill Ayers: SDS leader, killer and later Chicago professor, and other malcontents even outright violent criminals were given the status of liberators. The Cultural Revolution implemented the new social order; Progressive ideals such as political correctness and social justice were instituted. Our country lost its status as the beacon of freedom, liberty and justice in the world. The Cultural Revolution has been a horrendous failure.

Let us reject the non-workable, hypocritical and unjust Cultural Revolution. Bring back strong families, God, high standards and severe consequences for contemptuous and evil acts. By bringing back the clearly defined, God fearing, straight culture, America will regain opportunity and moral strength as the leader of the free world.

THE NEGATIVE IMPACT OF OVERDOING POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT

Lately there has been an over reaction to negative comments directed at individuals. “You did this or that wrong,” “You will never be a success.” These were statements people directed at loved ones half a century ago. The typical reactions were negative but others felt it helped the youngster wake up so they could change destructive habits and patterns.  Today parents say the PC positives but wind up not liking or spending time with their children.

Social scientists have come to view all negative assessment as toxic for human development. Their solution was to make almost all negative comments seen as abusive. This movement was initiated in the 1960s. It has been the acceptable approach for over half a century as a universal truth. Currently negatives have become politically incorrect almost everywhere.

Like many “scientific” statements about food and beverages these too are cyclical. Coffee was good then bad and now positive for your health. The same goes for eggs, the sun’s effect, tomatoes, bottled water, soy products, wine, cheese, butter and many other products. The beneficial or negative effect of a food, drink or anything is altered because of changes in the cultural preferences, appropriate dosage, and depth of research or technology at the time. “Universal truth” seems to be less than absolute truth.

Positive reinforcement given on a schedule of 8 positives to 2 negatives was the new formula for raising psychologically healthy children. The more positives the better as children had to have high self esteem to function optimally in today’s world. This philosophy was a staple of child rearing, psychological therapy, family counseling, public schools, penal institutions and most intervention programs for mentally dysfunctional individuals. Any spanking or displays of anger towards children have become abusive. Only heavy doses of positive reinforcement became acceptable in raising children and treating psychological issues.

The positive reinforcement movement led to a “false high self esteem” avalanche. Grade inflation was used to help poor students feel better about themselves in school. Many schools started giving students 40 points before the test began. These unproductive students felt better about themselves in the short term but their academic learning did not improve. They became delusional about how well they were doing compared to others students. Most of them were stunned when they could not remain in college after having received incredibly high grades in high school.  Many for the first time in their lives faced failure and its inherent suffering.

Parents started micromanaging their children so they did not have to face failure and consequences. These parents would forcefully intervene with teachers, law enforcement and coaches to make sure their child would always be rewarded. Children playing on sports teams were given the same playing time as better players and all received the same trophy just for being there, not for outstanding performance. Competition was stricken from sports activities and from school. Everything was sugar coated to eliminate the bitter taste of losing.

Assessments of everyone done with honesty and integrity went out the window. Everyone, no matter how vicious their actions, was treated with kindness as they were considered victims of their circumstances. Bullies are treated in the same manner as victims, each receiving the same weak and innocuous consequences. More and more negative consequences were removed not to hurt the feelings of acting-out, harmful youngsters or even hardnosed, hardened criminals.

The results of giving high doses of positive reinforcement have been a disaster. It only delayed the realization that only through perseverance does a person become disciplined and reach excellence in a particular area. Positive reinforcement as opposed to negative is totally out of balance. Short cuts to feeling good like someone telling you that you are better than what your performance demonstrates has become a common charade.

A person becomes better only after they work towards excellence. It is beneficial to have authority figures and peers giving honest criticism. When the feedback is dishonest, the individual loses the understanding of how to attain a higher level of performance and motivation to improve.  

In any contest giving a false assessment of one contestant is a death sentence for becoming better or even the best. Only by knowing where you stand as compared with other competitors can you improve your game. When you interact with the best you will improve by learning what they do to become winners. When you develop “false esteem” you run out of time to turn yourself around and become a success. This is reality not scientific fantasy.
