USING A CRISIS TO FURTHER GOVERNMENT DEPENDENCY

USING A CRISIS TO FURTHER GOVERNMENT DEPENDENCY
By Domenick J. Maglio PhD. Traditional Realist

The United States was established by people who were fed up with religious and political repression. They resisted King George III’s attempts to rule the North American colonies. Without granting significant freedoms and rights held by citizens of England, Americans bravely banded together in a revolution against impossible odds.

The new nation grew and prospered on the individual initiative of its people who braved the hardships of settling the wilderness. These citizens were not given anything tangible by their new constitutional republic but the greatest blessings of a limited government. The eliminating of English oppression allowed Americans to focus their energies on improving their personal lives through individual initiative. For the most part, citizens were allowed to build and do what they wanted on their own land and keep most of their property and assets without government confiscation.

President Andrew Jackson’s election was a rejection of the eastern financial system’s attempt to use monetary power to control the freedom and rights of western expansion. This was a non-violent mini revolution for settlers to be treated as viable, free citizens.

The Civil War, WWI, the Great Depression, WWII and the Covid-19 pandemic are some crisis periods in our history. These world-wide incidents usually forced our citizens to unite to battle an enemy that threatened our existence. During each of these traumatic events there was a battle between people who wanted to strip our rights and force citizens to be more compliant with the dictates of government and others who wanted to protect the rights to preserve our unique constitutional republic. These opposing viewpoints were evident in every crisis. This internal battle was not settled but fought out through the particular emergency. We temporarily and reluctantly sacrificed our freedoms until a solution was debated and established.

Once everything settled down, most of our rights were restored. Things certainly changed after each significant challenge to our existence. Restoration of our sacred rights and freedoms is not
automatic, the battle has to be fought. Great statesmen have heroically confronted our government bureaucracy and elite politicians who desired the power of government in their own hands and not in the people’s hands. This battle takes place every year in our governmental halls, catastrophe or not.

It is easier to maintain the people’s power than to fight to regain the ones the establishment wrestled away from the citizens. The government bureaucrats claim they are the ones who have the ability to grease the machinery to pass the funding bills. These non-elected officials feel they deserve recognition and respect. They are the shadow government who resist abdicating their power after the crisis has subsided.

The progressives want to increase the unemployment insurance to exceed what the employee was paid for his position. This will overload the financial system to maintain this unfeasible policy. This give away progressive program will only add to the debt and dependency of the people on government handouts. The collapse of the US economy would be a perfect situation to end our constitutional republic and force socialism/communism down our throats.

The more progressive officials provide what citizen’s want with other citizen’s tax money the greater the probability that capitalism collapses and socialism rises. The government will expand. The day will come when the gravy train is empty, and the naïve citizens realize the “game” was played to gain control for these self-serving politicians not for the citizens. Socialism will take root by feeding off the capitalist bounty left behind while diminishing people’s rights and power.

The gravy train approach is a subtle form of confiscation of citizens property. This is not a violent revolution. This is a political “con job” to convince people that they have a right to everything they desire. In other words, citizens get hooked on government dependency by the promises that cannot be met. Many indoctrinated citizens give up the freedom of being independent producers in order to become wards of the state. These citizens sell their soul for the government “safety net” promises of “free everything” by political shysters. These slackers will wind up with empty cupboards and servitude.

Direct confiscation of private assets is a more violent and messy phase, which ends this charade, although it does work. The final undermining of any free nation is when the majority of citizens have been sufficiently indoctrinated to believe a central controlled government can meet everyone’s needs better than can individual initiative. When this happens, most people are afraid that their government is the only thing that can protect them. When we reach this state, the people have been converted into pathetic “sheeple” who lose their individualism to the collective state.

The current rebellion against the “lock-down” orders has revised the spirit of Americans which cannot be extinguished. After all, we Americans have our Constitution and the Bill of Rights-thanks to the brilliant founders of this country. Remember Cuba, Venezuela, Cameroon, the Soviet Union and China.

TRANSGENDER IS ANOTHER FAD INDICATING A SOCIETY OUT OF WHACK

TRANSGENDER IS ANOTHER FAD INDICATING A SOCIETY OUT OF WHACK
By Domenick J. Maglio, Ph.D. Traditional Realist

Our nation was established with understanding and respect for natural law. The founders realized that attempting to change human nature was futile.  This non-reality orientation would evolve into a non-functioning society. Perversion of nature produces guilt, frustration and self-loathing in an individual.

These wise men are probably rolling over in their graves looking down at our upside-down nation.  Productive citizens are financially penalized while dependency is rewarded. Our police are portrayed as evil-doers while killers and looters are seen as innocent victims. Illegal immigrants are given priority over legal immigrants. Traditional men and women’s roles are obsolescent while changing your sex has become cutting edge.

In the recent past when toddlers pretended to be a dog or a superhero like Superman, parents and others traditionally set them straight. There was no way to legitimize this behavior.

In the new progressive culture we are promoting bizarre choices. On the application for college entrance, students are asked to identify themselves as male, female or “in transition.“ What ?? There are too many ridiculous choices that are warping normality.

The recent fad of two young girls walking arm-in-arm down high school halls kissing each other created instant celebrity status. Identifying oneself as the opposite sex is becoming the vogue of today.

A Fairfax school district has passed a transsexual rights bill that would allow any student to self identify its sex without consulting the parents. Girl Scout USA is now accepting transgender boys on a case-by-case basis. Parents of children in grades k-3 in Kittery public school in Maine have just learned their children have been taught from a transsexual indoctrination book. “I am a young child with a boy’s body but a girl’s brain” is the theme of the book. There is a miniscule group of parents who are beginning to seek reassignment surgery for their youngsters. These naïve parents feel it will make their child’s transition from one sex to another less traumatic.

There are many parents and college students who think it is caring to be accepting of any person with weird and confused feelings. A student can express that they think they are a squirrel and be taken seriously. Our culture has coined the term “otherkin” to describe the person who identifies partially or wholly with a non-human or an inanimate object. Instead of correcting the child that she is not a bird, vampire, elf, or an inanimate object, they are going along with these fantasies.

A few parents are using a similar approach when a child states he feels like he should be the opposite gender. Modern parents are not reinforcing what the child was actually born as but are appeasing the child or making an avant-garde statement by pretending he or she has the right and ability to just choose his/her sex. The parent who wants the child to self-express to get in touch with himself or herself is being an accomplice to more confusion and a traumatic lifestyle.

Many parents are unwilling to nip the child’s identity confusion in the bud. The reality intervention of telling the child to cut out this nonsense would be considered by some to be intolerant and mean spirited. Telling the truth is a kind act.

These utterances, thoughts and feelings, were supposed to be tolerated as a temporary phase. Now too many psychological/education experts are arguing it is even a human right to be whatever a person wants to be.

Parents were the anchors that laid down the parameters of acceptable and unacceptable thoughts and actions. Boys do not have babies, girls do. Boys grow into courageous men who protect others. Girls nurture and shape the children to whom they gave birth. Boys cannot be girls and girls cannot be boys. Even with reassignment surgery this is a partial anatomical change but the person’s DNA remains the same.

The creation of antidiscrimination laws to make transgender a protected class does not solve the mental and emotional dilemma in the head of the person.

The majority of citizens might be bullied by political correctness and punitive antidiscrimination laws to conform but this will not appease these dissatisfied individuals. In college where tolerance/PC is religiously practiced even sympathetic students get annoyed with transsexual students who are offended if someone calls the person “he” when he wants to be called “she” when the next day he might want to be called something else. This is an insane situation for the most empathetic person to handle day after day.

The majority should not be punished for the few who suffer from this. This confusion and dissatisfied person should be directed to psychological therapy for help. Our progressive “experts” should not use punitive discrimination laws to force the majority to placate the disturbed few.

Rights and Entitlement Rob the Spirit

RIGHTS AND ENTITLEMENTS ROB THE SPIRIT
By Domenick Maglio PhD Traditional Realist

A government to give you everything you want is big enough to take everything you have.
                                                            Thomas Jefferson

FDR believed and Obama believes that the government should and could provide guaranteed rights to its citizens. These rights will be granted without any responsibility preconditions, reservations or repayment. These rights were not endowed by our Creator as envisioned by our founding fathers. Instead they are decreed through the power of the government.  Thus any other government would have the same power to reinterpret and even deny any rights.

The rights that have been proposed are not limited to the following list. The right to a useful and well paying job or years of unemployment insurance, the right to adequate food and clothing, the right to vacations, the right to a substantial home, the right to a college education, the right to a spouse, a right to divorce, a right to abortion, a right to health care regardless of mistreating oneself.

Our founding father’s legacy was the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. These rights are endowed by our Creator. They did not relieve citizens of being responsibly self-reliant. Instead they restricted the federal government’s power to maximize citizen’s freedoms. These learned men understood that people can better use their energies to provide for themselves than can any bureaucrat.

The USA has a $14.3 trillion debt and growing. We are on the brink of national bankruptcy. We have seen politicians from both parties make ridiculous promises but do not have the courage to lay out a plan to pay for them. Watch out for anyone whose promises sound too good because they usually are. The “smart “ politician grants a new give away program but makes sure the payment will kick in well after he is reelected or leaves office. Our country’s debt is placing our sovereignty in jeopardy due to the cowardice of our politicians. Jefferson stated that debt was the greatest danger to America’s survival.

These entitlement programs, because of inefficiencies, unintended consequences and corruption always cause budgets to go beyond the original estimates. As more people are unable or unwilling to find employment the need for public assistance grows. Almost 50% of Americans receive some sort of government assistance. The “safety net” and other government handouts are becoming an acceptable way of existing in America. For a growing number of people working for a living will become of little value when taxes almost equal earnings.

Motivation to be industrious loses to idleness when people’s earnings are robbed by the government. When revenue from taxes falls with a drop in the number of people in the private sector and the dependency of more people on the dole, services are diluted to meet the higher demand. Quality and choice of services are inevitably limited by the reality of a dying economy.

The lines become longer, the services poorer and expectations become more fatalistic. Citizens are reluctant to give up their right to free services and learn to accept mediocrity. Week by week, month-by-month, year by year the spirit for life is sucked dry. They become hopeless and helpless.

People surrender their independence to better their lives for the miserable handouts they receive from government. Empty shelves, lack of choice and drabness become acceptable, the norm. Self-reliance and faith in God are replaced by a numbness of the spirit.

Some individuals somehow believe the answers to improve their lives rests with the government bureaucrats even though the government fails time after time to meet their promises. Propaganda, alcohol and drugs will increase to dull the pain. They lose the knowledge that they can accomplish anything they want as long as they are willing to pay the price.  There is little urge to be free.

This is the final step in the process of people willing to give up their freedom for false promises and security. It is not a forced slavery but it becomes slavery nevertheless.

Americans, wake up sooner rather then later. Socialism/communism makes for ungrateful, psychologically weak and spiritless citizens who have sold their souls to the government.
